Job Summary

Higher Standards Aerospace is looking for a motivated mechanic to join our team of professionals. The following is just an outline, and in no way limits other non-mentioned responsibilities from being added.

• Mechanic will perform tests, teardowns, visual/dimensional inspections, and writing detailed teardown/finding reports to repair or overhaul fuel components.
• Read, understand, and follow component manufacturer manual (CMM) procedures in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks.
• Be able to understand Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives and FAA regulations.
• Be able to use calibrated tools and special tools.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area. Ensure the shop is cleaned up, tools and equipment are put away, and properly maintained.
• Properly executing duties assigned.
• Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.

Qualifications and Skills

• Be able to read, write and interpret technical data in English.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours to include late afternoons and weekends to meet customer demand.
• Some mechanical experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented and good troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Great work ethics.
• Good organizational skills and ability to maintain work environment clean.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license helpful but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $26.00 per hour
